SLB details on Digital business
This is the company-formerly-known-as-Schlumberger's second quarter splitting out their new Digital division, which had some nuggets we found interesting. ChampionX assets are generating ~$10mm/mo of revenue, which we're guessing is mostly XSPOC - that feels about right. The Digital division grew 17% y-o-y (13% excluding the ChampionX additions). And EBITDA margin for Digital was FORTY-TWO PERCENT in Q4-2025. Yowza, no wonder they want to brag about it to shareholders…

We missed this a few months ago, but Energy Domain acquired Clerk Records and is planning on launching Energy Domain Courthouse soon. This follows previous announcements of a $5mm fundraising in late 2024 and the launch of their data subscription service in early 2025. The data subscription space is very busy these days…
Power BI January release
Another month, another batch. Biggest items to us are the modern visual tooltip "actions", deprecation of several predecessors to Copilot like Q&A, and custom icons for Azure Maps (so you could use standard well symbols!). And finally, semantic models with incremental refresh can be edited directly in the service!
